Dyfed Archaeological Trust is a Registered Archaeological Organisation (RAO) of the Institute of Field Archaeologists (IFA), and complies with the IFA’s code of conduct and standards for archaeological recording .

All ofthe Trust's staff are CSCS registered, and certificated to work on construction sites.

Our professional and highly experienced staff offer high quality desk-based assessments, written schemes of investigation, environmental impact assessments and field evaluation, all individually tailored to meet your needs.
We have considerable experience in undertaking excavations, watching briefs, historic building recording, fieldwalking, and landscape survey, and have worked for numerous and very satisfied clients since our foundation in 1974.

If you have been asked to carry out an archaeological evaluation as a condition of your planning application, we can guide you through this process as quickly and efficiently as possible: our written schemes of investigation are produced in accordance with the Standards and Guidance laid down by the Institute of Field Archaeologists, so you can rest assured that they will meet the requirements of the Local Planning Authority.
