Archaeology on your Doorstep

We hold records of over seventy thousand archaeological sites in south-west Wales. These are digital records made available to the public through the Archwilio website www.archwilio.org.uk

Because of the large number of records, it is almost impossible for us to keep track of any changes that may affect sites; for example, maybe the village post office has been sold and turned into a dwelling or a standing stone has been moved or damaged. We rely on members of local communities and others to alert us to changes to known sites and to tell us of unrecorded sites. Therefore, if you have an interest in your local heritage, we want to hear from you.
