This simplified timeline will help you to become familiar with the time periods used by archaeologists to describe the past in this part of Wales, and to identify technologies and societies.
The information is very brief, or it would become too confusing, so there are gaps and omissions. We have so much more information available on the Discovery section of our website, where you can find information about our excavations and reports on the results of our research projects.
